Google Bridges, Boland's Mill

The Google Boland’s Mill development is one of Dublin’s most significant commercial projects — a landmark office campus in the city’s Docklands quarter. KH Engineering was appointed to design, fabricate, and install two pedestrian bridges spanning between two high-rise office buildings, forming a key architectural feature of the development.

Our Scope of Works

Our scope included full in-house design and detailing of the bridge structures in Tekla Structures, fabrication at our Allenwood facility, and on-site installation in a live, programme-critical urban environment. The bridges required precision engineering to achieve the architectural intent, with complex connection details and tight tolerances throughout. Our erection team coordinated closely with main contractor Walls Construction and façade specialist GIG Fassaden throughout the installation phase.

The Result

The project was completed on programme and to the highest standards of quality and safety. KH Engineering’s excellence in structural steel fabrication and installation was recognised with the Bridges and Walkways Award at the 2024 Irish Steel Awards, one of four industry awards won by our team since 2022.
