KH Engineering’s 15-acre facility in Allenwood, Co. Kildare gives us something very few steel fabricators in Ireland can offer — the space to fabricate, assemble, and fit out complete structural steel modules before they ever leave our yard. Instead of sending loose steel to site to be built up piece by piece, we deliver finished units ready to be craned into position in a single lift.
Off-site modular assembly is a modern method of construction reshaping how the fastest-moving sectors build. For data centre, pharmaceutical, and industrial projects on tight programmes, assembling off-site removes work from a congested site, takes activity off the critical path, and delivers programme certainty traditional construction can’t match.
Our 15-acre site can house multiple modular units and large steel volumes at once, assembling several units in parallel while fabrication continues alongside. Steel is cut, drilled, welded, and surface-treated in our workshop, then built into complete frames in our yard, all under our own quality control. Working in a controlled environment rather than at height on a live site means units are assembled faster, safer, and to a higher standard of finish.
Few fabricators can assemble complete units at scale. Our 15-acre facility houses multiple modules and large steel volumes at once, so even substantial modular programmes stay entirely on our own premises.
Units leave our yard fully assembled and arrive on site ready to install. A single crane lift places each module in its final position, cutting installation time, crane hire, and site disruption.
We host your own teams on our premises to complete mechanical and electrical works on the frame before delivery. Units then arrive on site as one complete, fully serviced module, ready to install.
We’ve delivered fully assembled modular units for leading engineering and mechanical contractors across the data center, industrial, and manufacturing sectors, including work serving end users such as Intel, to exacting standards.
Talk to us early and we’ll show you how off-site assembly can take weeks off your site programme. Send us your scope and we’ll come back with an approach built around your sequence and lift plan.
From coordinated design to a fully serviced module craned into place — our in-house process removes every handover delay between design, assembly, and installation.
We work with your design and M&E teams to coordinate the steel frame around services, access, and the final lift — making sure each unit is designed to be assembled, transported, and installed as one.
Steel is fabricated in our workshop — cut, drilled, welded, and surface-treated — with the same EXC4 quality control applied to every member before assembly begins.
Units are built up into complete frames in our yard. Where required, your mechanical and electrical teams mobilise on our premises to fit out the module on the frame, all before it leaves Allenwood.
The finished unit is transported to site and craned into its final position in a single lift — minimising work at height, site labour, and programme time.
